He tried to run, but he could not hide this time! Once Mangual found out he had warrants the chase began from Florida to Houston, Texas, then on to Oklahoma City where he was finally captured and extradited back to Florida to face his charges. We like to give credit to the Lake County Da's Office for following through on Jose A Mangual worthless check schemes. Let's face it, fraud is never a victimless crime, and serial fraudsters can set us all back financially, raising the insurance costs and bank fees not to mention the emotional trauma of law-abiding Floridians statewide. This perpetrator has been getting away with these types of crimes for years and is no stranger to law enforcement in the New England area where he committed the same worthless check scheme & credit card fraud to dozens of Rhode Island businesses and his alleged employees.
